the church he attended. After much encouraging, Keith and Rusty came together from one common interest and formed what is now known as "30458 Grill Masters". Together, they started grilling for more and more family members and friends. Soon they were grilling for their friends churches as well as other local events.
In 2010, the team began their competition journey by entering locally sponsored contests and KCBS sanctioned events.
While Keith's primary focus in a KCBS competition is the "Ribs category" , he is very much aware of and helps in all the other aspects that are going on as well as what lies ahead.
The team and Keith, are always trying to improve on what they deliver. It doesn't matter if it is being delivered to the judges in a competition, delivered to a client for a catered meal or delivered to family and friends at a backyard cookout, they are always trying to improve and in doing so, Keith has taken some courses on-line in different smoking techniques. Keith has also taken courses in making different dry rubs and marinades and sauces. Food safety is always of the utmost importance to the team. From the time the food is purchased until it is on your plate, the team is mindful of tempertures and food handling procedures. Keith has taken severl course in Safe Food Handling also.
